Gary 王天洋 is a Philadelphia/Beijing–based filmmaker, photographer, and multidisciplinary storyteller currently studying Cognitive Neuroscience and Cinema & Media Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. His unique background bridges science and art: investigating how people perceive and remember, while transforming those insights into cinematic experiences that push the boundaries of reality and imagination.

Beyond his academic and artistic work, Gary thrives as a collaborator and connector. He has led and organized creative teams (as president of Global Documentarians), interned on professional TV and film productions, and guided younger filmmakers through mentorship and consulting. His experience spans directing, cinematography, photography, and experimental theater, giving him the versatility to contribute to projects across mediums.
